Our Story...

City Church is the union of Lake City Church and Mad City Church.  In a time when we often hear of churches dividing, City Church is blessed to be the union of two Madison area churches.  After more than a year of our leadership team seeking God together about this union, City Church's first service was held on Sunday, December 5, 2010.  We invite you to join us as we continue to seek God and serve the city of Madison together.

We’ll also have an area marked off for donations to Abundant Life Christian School’s new front garden bed!  Ideas for plants to bring: daisies, hostas, iris, bleeding hearts, lilies, black-eyed susans, cone flowers, ferns or any other summer starter flowers, bulbs and vegetables.

Keeping Sharp Seminar

Where Did I Put My Keys?
How many times have we said those very words or, if we are in the middle of a project, we set a tool down and go to pick it up again, and, lo and behold, it has walked off. Is this normal forgetfulness that comes with the aging process or is this, perhaps, an indication of something more serious?

Come to the Keeping Sharp seminar on Saturday, June 8, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Church Fellowship Hall to find out. Joy Schmidt, a Community Education Specialist with the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, will be presenting three sessions:

9:00 a.m. Potluck breakfast
9:45 a.m. Maintain Brain Health: Staying sharp at any age
10:15 a.m. We All Forget: Is it normal aging or should I be concerned?
10:45 a.m. Break
11:00 a.m. Alzheimer’s and Dementia: What is it? What can I do?
11:30 a.m. Prayer time that God would protect our minds and memories as well as our bodies

Anyone is welcome to attend this event.  For more information or to register for the seminar, contact the church office at 608-221-1528.  When registering, please indicate what food item you are bringing to the potluck breakfast.  There is a $3 suggested donation to cover expenses.
