New Service Starting Sunday, February 21!

Beginning Sunday, February 21 City Church will be adding a third service on Sundays.  The service will be 6:00 - 7:30 pm and will be the same as our morning services with full children's ministry and other ministries.

"The Lonely Hour" presented by University of Northwestern's Theatre on Purpose

Saturday, February 6 at 7:00 pm, City Church Sanctuary

The University of Northwestern’s Theatre on Purpose group will be performing at City Church on Saturday, February 6 at 7:00 pm. Each year Theatre on Purpose chooses a social issue, prays over it and researches it then writes a play on that topic. The goal is to raise awareness in the church about social issues and provide a platform for the church to discuss these issues. This year, Theatre on Purpose is presenting “The Lonely Hour” which address racism and the Church.

The performance is 40 minutes, followed by a 20 minute talk back lead by the cast members. The performance is free.  Child care will not be provided.

Friday, February 12 - 6:30 pm, City Church Fellowship Hall

Join City Church's Arts Ministry for an evening of good Italian food, singing waitstaff, performances of classic love songs and lots of fun!  Tickets are $12 per person or $20 for two tickets.  Child care is available for an extra $5.  Tickets available at the City Church office M-F or at the Information Center on Sundays.

What Christians Believe - Pastor Greg Pechacek

Wednesdays; 6:30 - 8:00 pm (1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, February 3 - May 18)

Although God doesn’t call every believer to Christian college, there are certain teachings from the Bible that every Christians should understand. Knowing these things are important because what we believe about God effects how we live. This class will condense 20 essential Christian beliefs into eight easy lessons. You will learn about the authority of the Bible, the character and image of God, the work of Christ, the purpose of the church and much, much more. If you are a new believer, or a seasoned believer looking to grow deeper in your faith, this class is for you.

Marriage Builders - Pastor Joel Alberti

Wednesdays; 6:30 - 8:00 pm (Feb. 17; March 2, 16, 30; April 20; May 4, 18; June 1) - Fellowship Hall

This class is designed not only for couples who are struggling, but for those who simply want to improve their marriage. The life-blood of any marriage is safe and clear communication. Couples who have healthy communication skills, by the grace of God, can work through all of the difficulties of their relationship and grow in intimacy and oneness. The class also addresses other aspects of marriage including: God's design for marriage, causes of marital difficulties, hidden issues & expectations, and the importance of meeting needs.

Early Church History at Christian Life College - Pastor Greg Pechacek

Thursdays; 6:00 - 8:30 pm (January 28 - May 12)

Early Church History will introduce students to the thought and life of the Christian church from Pentecost to the dawn of the Protestant Reformation. Class can be taken for credit or audited. For complete details, visit the Christian Life College page.

Alpha Course - Pastor Andrew Henderson

Thursdays; 6:00-9:00 pm (February 25 - April 20) - Fellowship Hall

Want to know more about the basics of Christianity? Join this 10 week course which explores "the basics" through video teaching and small group discussion. The evening includes dinner together at the beginning, followed by teaching and small group discussion. Childcare is based on volume of need.
